Active Minds, Healthy Bodies

Sports and Wellness Programme

Aims to encourage pupils to develop strategies to reduce obesity and improve physical fitness. The activities in support of the Sports and Wellness

programme are targeted at two major areas:

  • Nutrition
  • Physical activity

The programme incorporates interesting and purposeful activities to help pupils to cultivate a physically active and healthy lifestyle.

Active Learning Day

Starting January 2010, Ai Tong School has instituted the Active Learning Day programme.

Objectives

  • To provide a broad-base learning platform in sports and outdoor education, performing and visual arts.
  • To create a vibrant learning environment with dynamic learners engaging in active learning.

ACES Day

ACES stands for All Children Exercising Simultaneously.

Accompanied by the PE department and parent volunteers, the pupils danced to the infectious grooves of Jump Jam and worked up a sweat.

It was a great and fun way to exercise, as evidenced by the whoops of joy and exhilaration coming from the pupils.

Right after the mass workout, the pupils helped themselves to a healthy refreshment, courtesy of the Milo van parked in the school.
